EARLY INSPIRATIONLulu grows up on the Hippy trail between Ibiza, Devon and Sicily and loves dressing up from a young age, working with her dad in vintage clothes at Camden Market. She will later work at legendary Kensington market during her Goth clubkid phase in the 90s.

FIRST FASHION MOMENT
1998Lulu moves to London, starts working at The Old Truman Brewery which hosts catwalk shows in its vast warehouses, watches Hussein Chalayan AW'98 show and decides fashion is for her.

2000Lulu and The Old Truman Brewery set up Fashion East, a ground breaking philanthropical project to scout and support emerging designers with bursaries and free catwalk shows.

2000The initiative helps launch names including Simone Rocha, Roksanda Ilincic, Jonathan Saunders, House of Holland, Louise Gray, Marios Schwab, Gareth Pugh, Richard Nicoll, and Meadham Kirchhoff.

BOYZ BOYZ BOYZ
2005Fashion East and Topman start a philanthropical menswear project ‘MAN’, which launches names including Christopher Shannon, JW Anderson, James Long, Kim Jones, and is credited with igniting London’s now thriving menswear scene.

LULU & CO EARLY DAYS
2010In 2010 Lulu launches clothing label ‘Lulu&Co’ to mark Fashion East’s 10th anniversary, by reissuing 10 signature dresses from the archives of ten of her favourite designers.

LULU & CO NOWADAYSThe label expands beyond collaborating solely with Fashion East alumni to include other artists and individuals Lulu loves, including photographers Alasdair McLellan, Jamie Morgan and Mary McCartney, artists Tim Noble & Sue Webster, Bella Freud & Susie Bick, and Peter Jensen.

BY ROYAL DECREE
2012In 2012 Lulu is awarded an MBE title and pretty medal by The Queen for her services to fashion.

CONSULTANCYIn her spare time Lulu organises parties for Visionaire, Tracey Emin & Longchamp, and consults for brands such as Toni & Guy, Sony Playstation and judges/mentors on various schemes.
